This Privacy Policy explains what information Ascension collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what is needed to run the Service.
Account information: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a unique identifier and basic profile details such as your email address and display name.
App content & progress: the data you create in the App — tasks, habits, skills, raids, campaigns, streaks, levels, badges, and related progression data.
Device & usage data: limited technical information (such as device type and app version) needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
To provide and maintain the Service, sync your progress across sessions, authenticate you, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and improve the App. We do not sell your personal information.
Your data is stored locally on your device and, when sync is enabled, in our cloud backend (Google Firebase / Firestore). Data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.
You have the right to access, export, and delete your data. The App includes an Export feature so you can download a copy of your data at any time.
You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account ("Right to be Forgotten"). This action erases your user profile, tasks, historical progress, and sync tokens from your device and our database. It is irreversible.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service, including Google Firebase (authentication and database), Apple and Google (sign-in and subscription billing), and AI providers used for optional in-app features. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the App.
